Women return to their pre-pregnancy weight fastest when they are:

  • Younger.
  • Healthy before and after pregnancy.
  • Happy and unstressed.
  • Not working outside the home.
  • Have emotional and practical support.
  • Eat right (and supplements).
  • Sleep enough (hardest one for sure).
  • Exercise regularly.

The extra weight is not mentally or physically healthy but losing it is mostly a result of pursuing postpartum health. Pursue health, lose weight as a by product.
