So Good They Call You An Natal Extremist.

I really touched an open emotional wound in this guy.

He has a deeply rooted shame over his inability to be successful, find love in his life and build a family. My very positive original comment about the joys of parenting triggered his inner shame.

In a healthy person that shame would motivate him to reach out, get help and take corrective action. I hope he eventually does just that. Being so bitter is a horrible way to live.
