I am optimistic. But I also owe a debt to my ancestors. They never failed to survive & reproduce for 1000s of generations, no matter how bad the situation. Who am I to be the first to fail?

If they have unhealed trauma they need to start dealing with that before having children.

Some people should not have children for various reasons. Bad health, untreatable mental or emotional conditions, lack of interest are all valid reasons.

Not reproducing is not a new thing. Only about 50% of people living in 1850 have surviving decedents today.
