Are you made for this crazy world?

Are you made for this crazy world?

The world we live in is chaotic and upside-down. It’s getting harder for most people to know what to do next.

Our old institutions, which provided stability and direction, are either captured by the enemy or so poorly adapted to modern challenges that they are useless, and yet the public is more dependent on these institutions than ever before.

This is preparing billions of people for complete, life-ending failure when the institutions they rely on for survival fail or turn against them. When that happens, who will survive?

And if fail it will. We no longer know how to survive without the massive infrastructure that keeps the modern world running. They have created a world where billions of people are net consumers of the work of a handful of the mostly white male productive class while simultaneously alienating them from the system.

What happens when we can’t keep the infrastructure running that the system relies on? What happens when there is a lack of skilled trade and engineering classes that take generations to develop?

The lights go out, and the system ends.

When the inflection point appears, it will filter for a certain type of person with specific personality traits. Selection always happens under intense survival pressure. Some are favoured, and some are eliminated.

So what type of personality is going to both thrive now and survive then?

The Big 5 personality traits are a good model to use to explain the answer. See below for the traits that are most adaptable both now and in the future.

High in openness because it gives them the flexibility to rapidly apply new information and methods while rejecting old beliefs as they are proven false. Adapt or die.

High in consciousness because survival will take professionals who plan ahead and are motivated by an internal sense of pride in themselves, their work, and their people. Do right because it is right.

They are low in neuroticism because they will have to be content when all others are miserable. Those who laugh at the chaos will thrive there. Thrivers will have to take on huge risks and make things work out when others are afraid to try. The future belongs to the bold.

High in extroversion so that they can rapidly join or form new groups and build trust. Social skills are the key to success in uncertain times, and they require a lot of practice to develop. Only the extrovert will have the energy to master them. Build a brotherhood.

High in intelligence so that they can outfox their opponents and see through the lies and manipulation that are being sent against them. Find the opportunity in the chaos.

This sounds a lot like a pirate mindset.

Or special fources.

Or the Cossacks (land pirates).

Or the settlers of the American west.

Or the bold, heroic attitudes of our ancestors.

All groups that thrived in chaos.

But what if you are not like what I described? The good news is that the human mind is flexible. We can learn to adapt.

Message me, and I will teach you how to reprogram your mind for mental, emotional and physical survival and more—how to thrive both now and in whatever comes next.
