This principle also applies to adults.

Not all of us are at the same stage of development. Many people have false biases so deeply embedded into their minds and hearts that the plain truth blinds them with its brilliance.

You can not convince such people with facts or ideas. Like children they need to feed on the simple things first, building their minds up to digest adults truths.

It’s a kindness to only reveal to people that which they can bear. (John 16:12-14)
