The whole idea of a national melting pot is insulting

The whole idea of a national melting pot is insulting.

My western (Anglo/Germanic) culture is golden, bright and beautiful, it is not some scraps of junk to be melted in with the waste bin of humanity, diluting its unique and precious value.

We should replace the melting pot with a new metaphor, the refining pot. Purifying us and removing the dross through time and fire.

Each one of us faces our own personal refining moment when we feel overwhelmed by the heat. It is in these moments that we are tested and can more easily shead bad habits, unhealthy thinking, and broken emotional loops (the dross).

Face the fire. Stand up for what is right. Purify yourselves. Set a new gold standard for what it means to be a mature man or woman.
