The existence of the good men is not enough to protect all women. Bad men (and women) are sneaky and persistent.
Men can not protect women who dont want to be protected or are not connected to them in some way.
This is why bonds of family and “tribe” are so important.
The comment came from a conversation I had with a female mentee who was facing a situation where a woman was accusing my client of cheating with her husband.
She fit the description from the original post.
A baseless accusation from another woman but it could ruin her career.
