Personality and Maturity

When we say “that person has no personality,” what we mean is that the person has not matured yet. They lack the depth and complexity that come from experience and self-reflection.

The level of maturity expected is relative to their age. A child can have a wonderful yet youthful personality, but if they have that same personality at 25, no one will think it’s healthy.

You can get older without maturing. That’s the default state if you do nothing interesting and never self-reflect.

Your personality is going to affect your life, your opportunities, and your outcomes more than any other single factor.

How to develop a powerful, attractive, charismatic personality.

This is how I would advise a young man to develop himself.

Do interesting things. Take big risks; it’s only interesting if you have something at stake. Push yourself to your physical, mental, emotional, and social limits from time to time. Go outside your comfort zone. Get a few scars, collect some big wins.

Have a mission. Your mission will reveal itself to you as you do interesting things. It’s going to be your WHY in life.

Know who you are. Know your strengths and weaknesses to become the man of the times—the man who is what is needed and what he might become. Stretch yourself in this area.

Learn how to reflect on what you have done, the outcomes, and your thoughts and emotions. Understand how to reprogram yourself and correct your path by listening to that small, still inner voice. Become friends with silence.

Spend time with people who are interesting. Help them. Work with them. Learn from them.

Master skills that will make you a competent man. Work skills, social skills, protective skills, and life skills. Make yourself highly useful to other interesting men.

Every man who follows my advice will become a mature, masculine, and interesting man valued by other good men and desired by women.
