One of the biggest problems on the right is parionia, leading to knee-jerk reactions. It is part of why right-leaning people have such a hard time organizing and trusting each other.

There is always somebody willing to make a wild and unfounded accusation of another person being a fed, jew, commie, gay, or whatever they are paranoid of at that moment.

Instead of doing a few seconds of due diligence by checking a person’s social media feed, asking a few questions, or even waiting for a while until they reveal themselves (as people always do), they just draw conclusions based on nothing. This is low-conscientiousness behavior.

We will never rebuild our secure, productive, high-trust societies unless we learn how to act like adults, show each other some respect and properly vet people.

On the bright side, quite a few friendships have started after a guy took a swing at me and I hit him back. That’s a bad way to vet, but sometimes it works.
