I tell my son that one day he will take over as the Patriarch of the family...

I tell my son that one day he will take over as the Patriarch of the family after which I will become his chief advisor. It is good to pass on the mantle of head provider and protector while your son is a full grown man but still young enough to grow into it.

First he has to be able to consistently beat me both physically and mentally. I am 41 and he is almost 7. So in another 15 to 20 years or so he will surpass me.

It is our duty as men and fathers to cultivate our sons to become the next generation of leaders.
