Historically, in the West, there were three main duties for a free man to be considered a citizen in good standing.
- Join the local militia (train and be armed).
- Contribute to the commons (often in the form of labor).
- Marry and have children.
Any man who failed in his duty was considered a free rider, a parasite, and not permitted to participate in the commons.
On the other hand, women married and had children because becoming the lady of their husband’s house was the primary path to achieving some level of independence. As long as she remained with her parents, she was a servant.
Today, most men and women are acting as free riders in one form or another. They take more from society than they give, not just financially but also in their long-term consumption of fertility and genetics.
This overconsumption will cause an ecconimic whiplash effect in which it will become more advantageous for the young, high-vigor sons of the west who remain in the crumbling ruins of the west to act as pirates and take what they want from the system and from the “DINKs” rather than support the system.
People respond to incentives. The next generation, raised in chaos is going to be wild men.
Until we restore the family and the production of new generations as the central objective of society and government, we will continue to decline in numbers, power, and quality of our civilisation.
