"Go check the fridge" "Its good" "Go check the fridge again just to be sure"...

“Go check the fridge”

“Its good”

“Go check the fridge again just to be sure”

“ok” (repeat 20x)

“Its fine Dad, Im not checking it again, this is annoying”

“Ok, if you’re sure the fridge is closed you can stop”

“Hey, I no longer feel the need to check the fridge”

“I know”

“Hey son, can you defeat your enemies? Are you strong enough?”

“Yes, if they are my size”

“You should check to be sure. Do 50 push ups, 50 kettle bell swings and 15 reps of over head press”

Boy does the work

“Ok, thats good, but what if the enemies are bigger than you?”

Being a small person is scary. The world is big and they are little. Dealing with fear comes from success and strength, you cant magically remove it.

Telling your children to “stop being afraid” doesn’t work

Redirect their fears into positive ends that build strength

This what I do with my adult clients who are faced with anxiety, redirect it into becoming spiritually, mentally, emotionally & physically strong

When they do the work things change

Suddenly the anxiety is under control

It becomes their weapon rather than their stumbling block
