A nation is no more a construct of men than is a family

A nation is no more a construct of men than is a family. We were created to live in national groups as much as we were created to live in families.

Nations (from Latin natio, or born, or the ones born of the same roots) are what we call the extended family when it grows past the tribal level.

family < tribe < nation.

The family owns the home. The tribe owns the village. The nation owns the country.

It’s up to each nation to decide if they are open to strangers in their homes and under what rules. The stranger has no say in the matter only the native born do.
