We made it profitable to divest from family, and pour everything into a quasi–Ponzi scheme called the stock market.

That guaranteed a shift. Away from raising children and building competent adults. Toward buying toys and chasing status.

Now we’ve got to reverse the flow. Get people to divest from materialism and reinvest in family.

But here’s the question: What kind of incentives make that possible? What rewards could ever compete with the dopamine of consumerism, except the joy of legacy, love, and lineage?

And how do we make those visible again?
