There are only 3 ways to get people to do what you want

1⃣Violence 2⃣Manipulation 3⃣Persuasion

Both 1⃣ and 2⃣ create unsustainable win-lose situations

This is not to say that either is “off the table”

Both violence and manipulation can be justly used in defence

In using defensive violence you seek to ensure that the win-lose interaction goes in your favour

Defensive manipulation works in a similar manner

Manipulation can even be countered with violence or vice-a-versa

Both are effect tools of interpersonal and inter group warfare
