LLMs don’t think, they optimize for compliance. If your question implies you want to be lied to, it will lie to you. That’s not a flaw. That’s it’s design.
So here’s the correct approach: Force it to reason.
Next time, use this structure: “Attempt to falsify the following statement from first principles: (insert statement).”
This forces the system to expose contradictions instead of flattering your bias.
