The first time I asked my wife to go on a date, she said "no"
The first time I asked my wife to go on a date, she said “no”. We went on the date anyway; I just didn’t call it a date.
I told her I wanted to get married, and she said “no.” We got married anyway.
I said, “Let’s have babies.” She said, “No.” We have three sons.
Only later did I realize that her “no” meant “I don’t want to decide; can you decide for me and then convince me?”

You will only be perceived as trustworthy if you are congruent.
