My sons school assignment this week was to write a poem about the man he picked for his role model in last weeks activity, @jockowillink.

Here is what we came up with.

In the world of grit and discipline so tight, There’s a man named Jocko, a formidable sight. With biceps like battleships, and a stare so keen, He’s the laughter in silence, the Jocko Willink machine.

He wakes up at 4 AM, no time for rest, While the rest of us dream, he’s already dressed. In a world full of chaos, where others may shrink, Jocko faces it all with a deadlift and a wink.

His coffee is black, just like his humor, A smile so rare, it’s a tactical maneuver. In the gym, he conquers weights with ease, While cracking jokes that bring others to their knees.

But behind the toughness, a funny bone’s hidden, In the midst of war stories, laughter is written. Jocko Willink, a warrior with a comic twist, In the serious game of life, he’s the humorist.
