My father used to tell me, “A person’s perception is their reality, and they will act on that no matter how irrational it seems to us.”. In turn I would argue that “people can’t be that delusional, can they?”

Well, now, at 46 years of age, I concede that he was right. People live in a world of their own choosing, and it’s not the same world that I live in. They will do and say stupid, dangerous, irresponsible things because they are operating from a delusion.

What I’ve learned since then is that there is a way to protect yourself from such people. I have learned how to use words and actions to shape their delusions, moving them closer to reality or at least in a direction that’s not a threat to me or my people.

For too long the handful of good people who have eyes to see let the masses fall under the control of evil snakes who hypnotized the crowds into believing a set of suicidal civilizational delusions.

Now we, the good wizards, must awake the sleepers, bring sight to the blind, and shake off the dust of generations of decay.
