Most women who say that they dont want children, actually do. They are just parroting the expectations of others due to high agreeableness.
A few questions in and they admit to me they want a husband and babies.
Dr Edward Dutton (@jollyheretic) says that the extreme position of people not wanting children is natures way of preventing those with harmful genetic mutations from reproducing.
They instinctually know they should not reproduce and so tend to avoid it.
The “Spiteful Mutants” as he calls them would have never survived childhood 300+ years ago. Due to a modern abundance of food and medicine they often live on to adulthood. Many even reproduce creating worse mutants. Eventually they take themselves out of the gene pool.
