Most people lack curiosity about the person they are married to or dating and instead assume or project onto them when communicating.
Example: Assuming that a negative reaction by your spouse is about you instead of discovering what’s really behind it.
Have some curiosity. Ask them viewpoint and feelings questions and remain calm even if you don’t like all the answers you get.
