After pretending to grab Levis (4 years old) ears I “ate” them.
He started to cry, with tears and everything.
Levi: Please Daddy, don’t eat my ears. Give them back! Spit them out, I NEED my ears to hear things. I love my ears! Ohhhhh…
My wife: Hey what’s going on in there? What happened?
Me: I ate Levis ears.
Wife: What? Levi, they are right there on your face, feel for them. (Gives me a look).
Levi: (Laughing, but with tears) It’s just a game. I’m pretending. I know it’s not real.
He gets so into pretending that it’s not obvious to other people that he’s still pretending. His imagination is so good.
