If your friends dont measure up, you need to make better friends
If your friends dont measure up, you need to make better friends. That might mean new friends, or it might mean helping your existing friends to level up.
By associating with substandard men you send your sons and daughters a signal that these type of men are acceptable.
Your sons learn about masculinity and the hierarchy of men from watching how you interact with your male friends.
Your daughters will infer that the men you accept as friends are good, “approved” men. This will set her standards when choosing a future husband.
Choose your friends well and your sons and daughters will get a far richer education in understanding the masculine than you can ever provide while parenting as an atomized individual.
Choose your friends poorly and they will learn all the wrong lessons, harming them for life.
