All the problems and attitudes we see today—especially the immaturity of men and women—existed in the past too, just at a much lower rate. Our ancestors had solutions. The difference is, they maintained institutions and incentives that supported maturity and personal development.
We’ve dismantled those systems. And without them, the same problems that used to be rare have now become widespread.
The good news is: we can still fix ourselves. We can mature, and help those close to us who love and trust us.
But if we want to fix this on a civilizational level, we must restore the institutions and incentives that once made adulthood the norm—not the exception.
