A man with an IQ of 140 has very few men and even fewer women that are within 2 standard deviations of him.
His social network is smaller than a person with an IQ of 100.
His dating pool is tiny.
It is exponentially worse if he has a higher IQ.
If a man marries lower that 2 standard deviations below his IQ he will feel like he is married to a child, or a semi-sapient animal.
Unfortunately, many of these men simply never marry.
