When your child asks "can we buy X?

When your child asks “can we buy X?” avoid saying no.

A hard no limits his vision of money with arbitrary bounds.

Instead say “yes, but it means that we will have to…”.

Fill him in on the time, effort or sacrifices needed to obtain the desired thing.
