Protecting people (or groups of people) from the natural consequences of their actions is cruel, evil, and a transgression of natural law.

Consequences are part of a vital feedback loop that must be observed and felt in order to help us organize our lives better and adjust to changing conditions. Taking that feedback away is information theft, no matter how kind the person stealing it thinks they are.

Keeping people from feeling the pain of consequences is the same as blinding them. It cripples the one being protected and ensures that they will continue on a devastating, wrong, and dangerous course until the consequences are so great that no one can shield them from them.
