At least once per week take your young children on a long walk.
The objective is to hit that point where the last 15 minutes are difficult for them to finish. My brothers and I would joke that we were on another of Dads “death marches”. Thats how you know it was the right length.
This will make them stronger and teach them to not complain about minor discomfort.
